written by Es Príncep / September 10, 2024

Up to 11 Michelin Stars shine in Mallorca in the gastronomic scene 2024, as a benchmark of haute cuisine that can be enjoyed and tasted on the island. For this reason it has become a meeting point for internationally renowned chefs and locals who seek to innovate and reinterpret traditional Mallorcan cuisine.

9 restaurants that continue to shine with the award

The Michelin guide, published annually, is one of the most prestigious recognitions in the world of gastronomy. Obtaining one, two or three Michelin stars is not only a personal achievement for chefs and their teams, but also puts restaurants on the global map, attracting gourmets and tourists from all over the world. In the case of Mallorca, the Michelin distinction has had a significant impact, positioning the island as an elite gastronomic destination in the Mediterranean.

These are the restaurants that maintain the coveted award this year:

1. Dins, Santi Taura, the space where Mallorcan cuisine is transformed with exquisite creativity.

2. Béns d'Avall, which masterfully combines tradition and modernity.

3. VORO, known for its bold culinary approach and for being the only restaurant in Mallorca to hold two Michelin Stars.

4. Adrián Quetglas, a perfect fusion of flavors that blend Argentina with Mediterranean flair.

5. Es Fum, the culinary elegance from which to enjoy the views over the sea.

6. Maca de Castro, the chef who loves local products.

7. Marc Fosh, a revolutionary of Mediterranean cuisine.

8. Zaranda, in Es Príncep, a refuge of refinement and culinary luxury.

9. Fusion19, where local and international flavors meet.

The new Michelin Stars of 2024 in Mallorca

The year 2024 has marked the arrival of two new stars to the Mallorcan gastronomic universe. These new honorees represent a fresh mix of innovation and tradition, enriching the island's already diverse culinary scene.

Sa Clastra is a new culinary star from Mallorca, receiving its first Michelin award this year.

Jordi Cantó is the young and talented chef at this restaurant who takes diners on a unique journey through the history and modernity of gastronomy, blending indigenous flavors with contemporary cooking techniques.

Each dish is an exploration of the essence of the purest Mallorca, and manages to take visitors through a unique journey in which, through the palate, they capture the textures, flavors and aromas that represent the beauty and diversity of the island.

The other Michelin Star has gone to chef Andreu Genestra, who has a decade of experience, accompanied by a deep love for Mallorca. His menus are a reflection of Mediterranean culture and tradition and represent a tribute to both the sea and the land of the island.

Its 'Mediterranean' concept translates into four unique tasting menus, which allow you to enjoy a rich and diverse culinary experience, ranging from local ingredients to the aromas of places bathed by the Mediterranean.

The evolution of gastronomy in Mallorca in recent years is a testament to the talent and passion of its chefs. The combination of a rich culinary heritage, access to high quality local produce and the influence of international trends has resulted in a diverse and exciting gastronomic offering.
