The 10 most authentic tapas restaurants in Palma

written by Xisco Mateu / June 19, 2018

Tapas are, together with paella, the quintessential dish of Spanish cuisine. Palma, has a historical tradition of tapas with its mythical “variat” (several different tapas mixed in the same plate). During the 90s the tapas tradition of the city decreased a lot, but in the last 10 years it has recovered.

Going out for tapas in Palma is one of the best options to discover the authentic Mallorcan gastronomy. Furthermore, if you are staying in a boutique hotel in the Palma old town, enjoying "tapas" will help you discover the most charming corners of the city.

In the following we present our top 10 tapas bars and restaurants in Palma:

1. Es Princep Rooftop

If you're looking for a dining experience that blends authentic flavors, spectacular views, and an exclusive atmosphere, the Rooftop at Es Princep in Palma de Mallorca is the perfect destination.

The hotel, located in Es Baluard of Es Príncep, is recognized as one of the most distinguished spots in the city. A unique space that redefines and elevates the concept of tapas to a whole new level.
